A Failed Legislature part 2

Medicaid Expansion: For the tenth year in a row, WI Assembly Speaker Vos and his Assembly Republicans have said, “No we don’t want to accept billions of federal tax dollars for our state health care institutions.” As a result, pre-natal and birthing care centers began closing in rural communities. At first it was Bloomer then Rice Lake. Expectant moms were directed to Menomonie’s Birthing Center. Then Menomonie closed and people were told to go to Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. Well, we all know what happened then.

Wisconsin Republicans would not tip the hat to “Obamacare” giving a Democrat credit for essential services. They continued their stubbornness even after 41 other state legislatures accepted the benefit.

The WI State Assembly has been completely dominated by Republicans for 28 of the last 30 years. How’s that working for your family?
